Why move the blog

The new home

Welcome to the new home for my blog. There is one major thing that needs to be finished up, the logo, before I will consider it live in condition. Until the I have the perfect logo (LOL), I will consider it under construction!

chuck taylors.It’s funny how this new home came about (I’ve actually been thinking about it for awhile). My wife, at the last minute, decided that she wanted a gift certificate to the mall for valentines day (previously we decided to skip gifts for this holiday). So I told her that was fine, but she wanted to know what I wanted. I thought about it for awhile and it came down to 2 things. This blog (domain name and hosting) or a pair of Chuck Taylors for weightlifting. I obviously chose the blog over the Chucks. I am however going to get myself a pair and it’s not to keep the wife away (she thinks I’ll be a dork with a pair of them…I don’t really care if they help with my lifting!)

    I do like some Chucks. Mike has a pair of Ostrich Skin chucks that are pretty unique. I say get them, if anyone makes fun of you it’s because they’re jealous that they don’t have chucks.

    In case you didn’t know, you can change your blogger account to publish using FTP and it will build everything on your new webserver. I think you get a few extra features if you do this including the ability to turn off the BLoggger bar and change the extension to .php or .asp. Then you can add server side code to your blogger pages.

    That is in case you don’t like WordPress or if you do not want to loose your blog history.

    I may drop you a line about the logo. Templates are a dime a dozen out there for wordpress and I like this one (for the time being). Coming up with a look and feel takes awhile for me.

    Patrick, I’m probably going to pick up a pair of Chucks. Now I just need to decide if I want black or black with the flame’s on them. :) Neither of which my wife would approve!

    LOL!!! I’ll have to see what the prices are for the flames. I’m kind of partial to them. if I do I’m sure Mandy will disown me!

    Chuck’s are the only shoes left on the planet for white people. Perhaps you should take her to a Foot Locker (if you guys have those there) and show her what your other options are. Chucks with flames will look awesome after she sees your other choices.

    Patrick, she’s already seen them and thinks their dorky…I’m just going to be using them for weight lifting so it’s not like I’m wearing them all the time. I think I’ll be getting them this weekend. :)

    you have a nice new hom, the logo is interesting, Chuck’s are pretty cool I have to admit, I powerlift and wear my chucks everytime and its a fashion statement..lol
