A few weeks back I received an envelope from our accountant asking for some basic information regarding taxes. I briefly looked through it but didn’t really pay attention to the details. Fast forward to tonight.

I was all caught up on my homework and since we had already done the Valentines day thing I got to organizing our taxes. I started going through the stuff that the accountant sent us. Lots of yes and no questions to start out with and then it starts asking for income, dividends etc etc. I was able to fill all of it out, but as I was filling it out I couldn’t help but think: “Isn’t this what I’m paying you for?” I’m sure there will be a little extra work, but I would take a guess that he’s going to take the information I entered and enter it in and be on his way. And he will still charge me his hourly rate. Oh well. I feel better by having an accountant do everything and when we see our refund we forget about what we paid him (with school and all we get a large amount back).
