Shoe Shopping and Clothes
I went and did it. I got my Chuck’s with flames on them (similar to those in the picture but they are all black)! Now all the remains to be seen is how well they work for lifting. I’ll be honest that the wife almost talked me out of them, but she didn’t and I have them and she’s still married to me! I told her that my dad said that I should get them (LOL!) and here’s what she had to say about it.
Me: My dad said I should get a pair with the flames on them.
Her:Your dad’s got a odd sense of humor
Me:I can’t disagree.
Her:Did you tell him that I didn’t like them?
Me:Yeah.
Her:Well that’s why he said to get them!
I thought it was kind of funny.
Any how after spending 80+ dollars on 2 pairs of shoes we went over to the mall and cruised some clothing shops. We stopped into The Gap and there was some nice stuff there, but way overpriced. I saw this casual jacket (not sure what else to call it) and tried it on. The XL was to big so I found a large to try on. The large was to small. I came to the conclusion that Gap, and probably other stores, do not know how to make clothes. They make their clothes for the waif thin men that model their clothes and not the people actually wearing them. Yeah I lift weights, but I am not that big at all and this coat felt like I could rip it off like The Hulk. Hell the coat felt tight around my forearms and those are pretty small. In the shoulders if I fould have flexed I probably would have ripped it. So yeah I will not be buying my new wardrobe at The Gap.
