I saved my lunch money for two weeks in high school to get a corduroy pair. I wouldn't be caught dead in that particular pair now, but I like the solid black or pink ones. When I use to lift weights (a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away) I just used tennis shoes and they seemed to work just fine. I am glad you got them. I am a big fan of making purchases like that if it is something you really want just because that is why we go to work everyday.
