I love the smell of ant killer in the morning! Hoorah!
So since the weather has turned somewhat nice we have had an ant problem in the house. I’m not just talking 1 or 2 ants here and there. I’m talking swarms of them. It first started in the bathroom and then we found them in the kitchen. At that point it became our full duty to remove them from this planet. I wasn’t that worried about them until yesterday morning. I got up and was getting something to drink and they were everywhere on the counter. So out came the ant spray and a little cackle in my throat and I went to work. Yesterday the wife went shopping and brought home like 12 ant traps that we have planted around the house. This morning I’ve seen one very slow moving ant, so I’m hopefully that the traps are working.
Friday night we watched Jarhead. I was really looking forward to this movie, but when I was done I was some what disappointed. Not sure why, but I was. I enjoyed the book much better (Swafford is from Iowa if I’m not mistaken). I will say that it doesn’t paint a pretty picture on war. From the one sniper that I’ve been around what they portray in the movie is pretty typical and worse I’m sure. This sniper was kind enough to show me a video that he had from the Somolia conflict in 1996. Very eye opening to what really goes on in war. I’ll give Jarhead a 6 out of 10.
Who can tell me what movie the title came from? The last part (Hoorah) is frorm Jarhead, but the first part is what I’m looking for. The actual quote is: “I love the smell of napalm in the morning.”
