Walk The Line & Chicken Little
So I’m back in the swing of things with school and such. Had class on Thursday and a thought occured to me. Is it possible to get through a class without learning anything and still get an A? I think it is because this IM 343 class that I’m in is going to be one of those classes. After Thursdays class I determined that this teacher is not a bad guy, but he’s an idea guy. He has all of these great ideas on what would make a great class, but he’s not an implementor/teacher (if that makes any sense at all). I’ve had other teachers like him and they are very likeable people, but they drive me up the wall for some reason.
Any how onto movie reviews.
I don’t know why but for some reason I’ve been avoiding watching Walk The Line. Actually I do know why I didn’t want to see it. I don’t like Joaquin Phoenix. Never have and probably never will. However the wife rented movies last night and picked this movie up. I don’t know much about Johnny Cash so I can’t say whether what they showed was historically accurate, but they did a damn good job of it. The movie was WAY better than I was anticipating and both Phoenix and Witherspoon did a knock up job I thought. The movie had just enough about their lives and just enough about the music, which was more interesting in my opinion. Overall I’d give this one a 8.5 out of 10 stars.
I’m sure this says something about the wife and I, but we always seem to watch these animated movies. We also own quite a few of them. Last night, prior to Walk The Line, we watched Chicken Little. Not the best animated movie, but it was good. I’d give it a rating of 5 out of 10. Worth a rental, but that’s about it.
Later today we are going to Vendetta.
