Road Tripping
The wife received a call on Wednesday from her brother. He was going to be in Madison Wisconsin and he wanted to know if we could make it up there to see him. We hadn’t seen him since the previous year so we planned on going.
So that’s what we spent yesterday doing. We’d been there one time before and I remember traveling on a single lane road for the better part of it, but apparently a lot has changed since then. The whole trip was 2 lane (4 total!) and we were able to put the cruise control on and go. It turned out to be a very pleasent trip.
He’s a hunting guide in the fall and winter and there’s a big deer and turkey show that he was at. I’m sure you’ve been to these type of conventions but this was different because the beer was flowing early and often. Well it wasn’t that bad, but there were a few people that were a bit loud. Any how it sounds like he was doing quite well booking elk hunts for the fall. The only downside to his job is that he’s gone for like 2 months straight each fall/winter and with 2 kids I’m sure it’s got to be a bit hard at times.
I had planned on raking the back yard today, but as I was laying in bed this morning the thunder started and it was quickly followed by rain. So I’m hoping that there are some nice days this week that will allow me to get a portion of the yard raked so I don’t have to pay for the stupid yard waste tags ($1.30 each or something like that)!
