I was hoping to post up a picture of the ribs that we are BBQing, but the weather out here has been one of great differences today. Started out really nice and then sprinkled. And then it got nice again and now it’s storming…as in monsoon weather. Damn Iowa!

This weekend consisted of…a whole lot of nothing special. I got off of work early on Friday because the office is in the process of moving (I’ll be working from home on Monday and Tuesday and perhaps Wednesday). Saturday I hit the gym and got a new full size BBQ (still using briquets) in addition to some car stuff. Thanks to Raul for saving me about 70 bucks on a new car battery. Got a battery tester that tells me the wifes car has more than enough juice. But I’ll be sure to check it again before winter. I was hoping to wash the cars and wax them, but yeah…rain killed that idea. Same for mowing the lawn. I think I now have the longest lawn in the neighborhood!

Until about 2 this afternoon or so I was on the computer doing various things. One of them was home work and the other was working on a new design for the other blog that I have. Perhaps I’ll work up a new design for this site.

Oh yeah we saw a couple of movies as well. Fun With Dick and Jane and In Her Shoes. Fun With Dick and Jane was pretty cute. It’s basically about a family in about 2000 when the tech boom crashed. Not Carry and Leoni’s best work, but a good rental. I’d give it a 6 out of 10. In Her Shoes is a girl movie, but not a half bad one. It has Cameron Diaz in it along with Shirley McClaine and Toni Collete (I believe). After watching that movie I have to wonder why Diaz has been making such a big deal over these purported nude photos. Half of the movie she’s walking around in a mans shirt and a pair of underwear. And a bikini as well. So all I can say about the pictures she’s fighting about is that they’ve got to be pretty explicet or perhaps worse. Oh yeah…I’d give it a 5 out of 10. Women will appreciate it more than guys…especially those with sisters!

Well I’m off to take the ribs off the grill!
