Best Sports Movies

This weekend I think TNT played every football movie that you can imagine. We watched a little bit of The Replacements with Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman. It’s not bad. But it got me thinking about what are the best sports movies out there?

Here’s my list:

1 – Hoosiers
2 – Remember The Titans
3 – Varsity Blues (got to love Tweeter in this one!)
4 – Coach Carter
5 – The Replacements
6 – American Flyers

Okay so it’s not a great list but I could just about sit down and watch these movies anytime.

So what’s your list consist of?

Hoosiers I’ve not seen, but I really like the Major League movies. I’m sure I could watch those anytime too. The Replacements is good, Days of Thunder and Driven would make my list (even though they’re racing movies I still think they’re a sport), as would Bull Durham. Sports movies are always good to watch over and over.

You can’t leave off Field of Dreams.

Ah yes, I LOVED Varsity Blues. I agree with dsf…you can’t forget Field of Dreams; that’s a classic.

Raul - You need to see Hoosiers…at least once. I totally forgot about Major League. I’d put that one on the list as well. Days of Thunder possibly and Driven as well. I thought Driven was better than what the critics rated it as.

DSF - Field of Dreams…bah.. Think that’s an Iowa thing! :)

Chas - Glad to hear I’m not the only one that liked Varsity Blues.

My favorite of all time is For the Love of the Game. Can’t forget Rudy and Tin Cup also.

Jen - Tin Cup would make it…not sure why I didn’t put it on here. For The Love Of The Game is that the new one with the guy from Holes (disney movie)
