Getting old

First it was Nirvana being played on the oldies station and now it’s the Dave Matthews Band being played on the oldies station. In addition I’ve started feeling aches and pains that I haven’t felt before.

The last couple of nights I’ve woken up at about 4 AM with middle of my back bothering me. It’s as if someone has taken a 2×4 and smacked me across the middle of my back. I have a couple of ideas I’m going to try and perhaps get the wife to massage the area. I’m pretty sure it’s muscular with the research that I’ve done. One way or another it needs to go away.

Today was a some what productive day. I got the old Honda washed up and I mowed the lawn. First time I have moved the lawn this year (the wife mowed it on Monday). I also bought some new grass seed because the seed I planted a few weeks ago appears to be dead. So sometime this week I’ll be out planting that in the bare spots.

I got to work from home for the first 3 days of this week. We moved into our new building this week. It’s still in a state of flux, but I really think it’s nice. It will be interesting to see how things go. On Thursday, our first day in the office, internet and telephone wasn’t up until 11 and the zipper on my shorts broke! So I made a quick trip home to change and came back. I half way thought they would have told us to go and work from home, but they didn’t. On Friday at 3 the internet went down yet again. Didn’t come back up until about 10 to 5. Glitches that all need to be worked out. I won’t start on the status of active directory…I’m sure there are others out there that know my pain and agony!

Tomorrow’s plans include homework and probably watching some basketball. It’s playoff time baby and this is when the San Antonio Spurs go to work. I’m anticipating a rematch between San Antonio and Detriot, but honestly there are a lot of good teams out there.

Harley Fat BoyThe wife got not one job but two jobs for the summer. So she’ll be busy and bringing in a little extra money. We’ve been talking about replacing my old Honda Accord with a new car. Looking at Honda CRV, Jeep Liberty and Toyota RAV4. I mentioned to the wife today that I’d like to get a Harley(hog) and she said I could go for it. So once we get the money and I’ve actually passed the motorcycle riding class, I will be getting a Harley. Probably a Fat Boy or something like that. Who knows.

Alright I’ve blabbered enough. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Congrats on the Harley. I’m going to have to say I hate you though. I really want a Night Rod…mostly so I can go ride with Mike.

The new Diesel Libertys are supposed to be awesome. My cousin is a Chrysler tech and he said that one is really capable off road, and on road, and it gets something like 30-40mpg’s. I’m not so sure about the Rav4. I make fun of those a lot.

I don’t have a Harley yet…but at least I’ve got the okay to get it. Perhaps I should have her sign something so that I can pull it out later when I have the money.

if the liberty gets 30-40mpg…then I think we might be there. That would be awesome
