Two things occurred today

So two things were pointed out to me today by readers of my blog. One reader that I knew I had and another one that I didn’t know of.

1 – I don’t update enough. Which is kind of funny because I was thinking about how I could update more often as I was eating breakfast this morning. So I’m going to try and do my hardest to update more often. If I slack drop me a line or something like that! I won’t be updating everyday, but I hope to get into some sort of consistent schedule (M-W-F perhaps or perhaps T-TH-S).

2 – I haven’t been posting about work. There’s been a reason for not posting about work. The main reason is that someone at work turned me into a manager and he sent me a note about my blogging. Nothing was “bad”, but I was probably a little to open about somethings. And since I don’t want to feel like big brother is watching over me (I get this enough at work), I’m going to create some password protected posts that only those that I give the password out to will have access to. If you want access to these posts e-mail me here and I’ll give you the password. The company I work for and what goes on at said company will still remain nameless in these posts. I just feel like there are certain things that I can’t vent about with this feeling of big brother looming so it’s going to be locked down and since I will know who has access, I will feel much better venting.

I will still post stuff that is not password protected..in case you were wondering!

Sounds like you worked at the same place I used to work. My old boss even had cameras strung up on the ceiling to make sure we were doing our jobs. He could log in to these from home and if we were seen spending too much time on one web page, or if he thought we got up to go to the bathroom too much he’d call our supervisor at home and have him call us at work to let us know we were goofing off too much. The more I think about it the more I realize I don’t miss it. Run Chris Run. That’s the best advice I can give you.

It feels like we are moving towards the cameras and such, but I don’t think we will. At least I hope not. It’s really not that bad…at least I don’t think so. I don’t really have much to compare it to with this being my only job. Well only “real” job.
