Henri Peter painting #1

The Last Goodbye
Henri Peter

Back in December when I snapped a picture about our Christmas tree Raul asked about the painting behind it. It was one of our Henri Peter paintings and I told him I’d get some shots of them. Well here we are…6 months later and I finally got around to getting the picture.

I don’t remember when I first saw Peters paintings, but it was long before I was able to purchase them. The colors always drew me into them. They are so vibrant and colorful. I also enjoy the indian warrior aspect of it. One other aspect that intrigued me was that he is color blind yet comes up with these awesome paintings.

This painting is Peters response to the attacks on 9/11/2001. I think we got this in December of 2001, but I could be mistaken. At some point I’d like to get some more of his stuff, but for right now this will have to do.

That’s pretty cool. For some reason I’ve always liked art with the indian feel. We really like Bev Doolittle if you’ve ever heard of her. I’ve got one of her pieces hanging over the fireplace that I’ll send you a picture of. You might like those. This is cool, especially since the guy is color blind…that’s just amazing to me.

Patrick - Yeah I’ve heard of Bev Doolittle. Don’t have any of her paintings, but there are some I’d like to get. She usually has something hidden in her pictures which make them a bit more interesting to look at.
