Another weekend class

I’m writing this in the computer lab at school. This is a class that I threw on at the last minute. It’s a geography class and going into it I wasn’t sure what to expect. But honestly it’s going to be the most fun class of the whole summer. We’ve been going outside and playing with compasses and GPS’s. I probably sound like a little kid…which is fine. If I’m going to be in class for the weekend I might as well have some fun.

Last night as we were sitting in class there were 2 hawks in the field playing and trying to get food. It was pretty cool to see them so close. I might have to come out with my camera and see if I can get pictures of them. As I went to lunch today I noticed some fur blowing in the wind. So when I got back from lunch I went and found what I saw from the road. Dead on the ground was a hawk. I’m not sure it was one of the one’s that I saw last night, but it’s probably part of the family that lives by the school. Not sure how it died, but I told the security guard and he was going to have someone look into it. I hope someone didn’t shoot it because they are really magnificent creatures to watch.

Well I should probably get into the classroom to finish out this class. I’m hoping that we get done before the 4:30 time we are supposed to, but if not that will be fine. By the way this class gets me over the halfway mark which I’m really excited about.
