Jen/Pat - Thanks for the info. I'm going to see if I can get this thing locally....online I'm just not sure about. Can get bounced around and such...but I guess that's not any worse than a computer right? Well I'll see if I can get it local and if I can't then I'll order online. Probably go with the 6.1

Oh yeah, and I'm with you on the soldiers. I've got a post saved for Anti-War protestors that I just haven't pulled the trigger on yet. Not sure anyone wants to hear my views, but sounds like they're pretty close to yours.

And that is why I married her. Yes, the Onkyo is the way to go. I was trying really hard to talk my hot wife in to a Bose system that was $3k and we heard this Onkyo. Having not heard of them I started reading up on it. I called Bose and asked what receiver you should use on one of their less expensive ($1500 ones is the less expensive) and they said "Use Onkyo, Harmon Kardon, Denon, or Yamaha." I knew it was good when my neighbor said "So what kind of surround system do you have? It sounded pretty good when I was standing in the driveway last night." They don't sell them at Best Buy, so you'll have to hit a Circuit City. The best word for them...BITCHIN! In my opinion anyway.

Check out this link for a system. This is very similar to the one we have. (We actually have the 6.1 which they no longer make). It is a really great system that Pat says gives Bose a run for thier money. Onkyo also makes a 5.1 that is about 200 less than this one. Check them out a Circuit City.
