Is it really November?

The wife and I just finished up with your dinner. Just the 2 of us and the boys (Tonks and Frodo). It was fairly quiet as it should be for only 2 people. We are heading over to a friends house for desert in about 45 minutes or so.

The weird thing about today…it’s really warm. Especially for this time of year. I just looked at Weather.com for the temperature and it’s a balmy 61 degrees. Can you believe it? We are weeks away from Christmas and it’s 61 degrees? How screwed up is that. This normally would get me on a rant about the global warming (which I partially believe, but then another part of me doesn’t want to believe it…so I’m 50/50 at this point. Something is obviously going on).

The wife and I talked briefly about when we were going to move back west. I know during the holidays my wife really misses home and I do to, but not as much as her. Once upon a time we had talked about doing a cold turkey move (sell the house and move without a job), but I think both of us agree that at this time we shouldn’t be doing anything like that. So for now it’s stay the course and continue to search for jobs back west. Hopefully something will come up.

I played a little bit of computer golf this morning…maybe I should say I played a lot. I think I played a total of 5 rounds when it was all said and done. I was on a roll…what can I say?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

If there’s any doubt about global warming, pop over here for a bit. It’s been over 100F in a few places, and there’s also talk of snow. I’m used to changes in temperature, but that’s just ridiculous.

scott - that is a pretty big variation. I know in Montana we would have some hot weather and then we’d get some snow. I remember one august where we woke up to snow on the ground. It was gone rather quickly, but it was interesting. One of my grandmothers claimed that it always snowed in the summer in Montana.

Same way down here man. Yesterday it was sunny and 65 on Thanksgiving while we were cooking. It was kinda hard to keep the grill temp down so the turkey got done earlier than it should have.

Raul - I doubt you’ll get snow like we will, but hopefully it will cool down somewhat and we can have a white christmas. Not sure what I’d do without a white christmas or even one with 90 degree temps like scott!
