Trivia Night

I am not a big social person so when the wife wanted to do a trivia night I was a bit apprehensive. However now that I’ve done it, I’m ready for another one. I probably want to do another one because we did so well. Going into the final round (10 rounds) we were one point out of 3rd. We ended up sucking in that last round and dropped to 4th by 10 points or something like that. Had we not had such a crappy first round (50 points) we my have been top one or two. I asked the wife when the next one and she said that we couldn’t be invited (we were fill in’s I believe) every time. So maybe it’s time to put together my own team!

Hardest question of the night: What were the 8 ships in Pearl Harbor when it was bombed (hint…I think they are all states). That was on the last round and we ended up getting 4 out of the 5…I believe. That one really hurt us.

The people we were playing with said that some places are pretty fancy, like this one, but others are pretty low tech. I have to say that the high tech one’s are pretty awesome. There were 10 questions in each round. 3 of the questions were a type of multimedia question. One of them was a photo of someone in the Quad Cities (pretty easy…I don’t think we missed any) another was a movie clip from a wintery movie (Bad Santa, The Thing, Santa Claus 2, etc etc) and the last one was a music clip (name the artist and the song title).

So who wants to form up a team?

Dude, if we lived closer we’d be laying waste to the Quad Cities on Trivia Night. We’d be like the frickin wonder twins tearin that shit up! If we lived closer, it’d be on. We don’t have anything quite that cool here that isn’t in a bar so we’re envious.

No Trivia nights down there? Bummer. Well you’ll have to make a trip up here and we can get you on a team. I know of 2 guys at work that play so I might be able to get them to join up!

Jen - sounds like you would love the trivia nights. I’ll be their around in Des Moines. Probably at churches is where I’ve seen them the most.
