Guess What?
It’s snowing. I wrote about it yesterday and it snowed last night and it’s now snowing today! Yippee! Perhaps if I write about it today it will snow even more (snowing right now!) and I won’t have to go to work tomorrow. Yeah right.
I got up early this morning, if you call 7:45 early, and went down to the river to try and take some pictures of the eagles that frequent this area. Since it’s been warmer this year they have not been around as much. But this last week was cold and the water iced up so I figured they’d be around. There were a few of them around, but not that many. What I did find was blue herons. Can you believe that? I thought blue heron’s were warm weather birds? Apparently not. There was probably 5-8 of them congregated around this one open spot on the water. Once I process some of the pictures I will post them up.
One of my fondest memories of snow is when we used to get up early after a heavy snowfall. If my brother and I wanted a ride to the restaurant and a hot breakfast we had to get up early. There were some morning’s when we were the first one’s to get on the road after a heavy snow. And in a front wheel drive car it was a blast. I honestly have missed my Honda Accord on these snowy days because it was so much fun to drive around. There were many times when I’d make it up our hill at the house when other vehicles can’t because people don’t know how to drive in bad weather.
We watched a couple of movies last night. The 2nd Garfield moving (Tale of two Kitties…I think!) and You, Me and Dupree. Garfield was okay and Dupree was okay as well. They both made us laugh which you need to do from time to time! Next week I’ll be seeing Smoking Aces.
I’m really trying to think of some interesting topics to post about but nothing is clicking so I’ll just sign off with this rambling!
