Today was the first day back at work in almost 2 weeks. It was depressing! Okay it wasn’t that bad. It took me until almost 11 to get my e-mails downloaded (for those keeping track it was 18,872 e-mails that I had to download). I had a meeting at 10 that lasted until 11:45 and then another meeting at 1 that lasted until 4:25. So I really didn’t get a whole lot accomplished at work today. I basically got my e-mail downloaded and was able to look at a couple of other things. That’s about it for today. I suppose not that bad, but I would have liked to get more done considering that the second meeting we had was in regards to a major project we have to complete by June 1 (my guess is that it won’t be done by June 1, but I’m trying to take a more positive spin on this and say that I will do what I can to make it happen by June 1).

Tonight we are supposed to get blasted with a winter storm. They are saying 3 to 7 inches of snow with wind. I’m guessing that in the end we will only get 2 inches at the most. All the time I’ve lived out in the Midwest I don’t think I’ve seen a weather man make an accurate prediction. Someone throwing a dart at a dart board could do a whole lot better than these guys and their high phaluting technical equipment. I’ll let you know what we end up with tomorrow.
