Old clothes

We had planned to go skiing this weekend and a hill that’s up in Galena. I call it a hill because it’s defiantly not the mountain we used to ski on. In preparation we started digging up our snow pants. I knew that I had a pair around somewhere so I went in search of them. I found them. They were reversible black and purple ski pants. Let me just say that when you go skiing, at least for me, it was not about fashion. It was about staying warm and comfortable.

So I found them in our “junk” closet. If memory serves me correctly they were a bit baggy when I used to wear them. Although I have to admit I can’t remember the last time that I wore them so it’s probably more than 10 years ago. So I tried to put them on. I got them up around my waist but when I tried to zip the legs it wasn’t happening. There was no way it was going to happen unless I was going for the tight ski pant look.

I should have known better but I had to at least give them a try. Makes me wonder how small I was able then. Or perhaps it should be how large I am now. I guess it puts it into perspective!

We had our second dance lesson tonight. Learned the rumba…it’s a waltz (box step) with a different beat or count pattern. Mostly we practiced the waltz, swing, foxtrot and the rumba. Tomorrow we go and learn the Carolina Shag. Doesn’t it sound dirty?

I keep acusing my wife of leaving my clothes in the dryer too long so I don’t have to own up to being a fat tub of shit…but that’s just me.

I haven’t tried that on yet…but I might. I’m actually trying to get the weight a bit lower. Heaviest I’ve ever been, but I’ve put on some muscle. But would like to drop a few pounds and be “leaner”

Me too, but I blame my lack of willpower to act rather than anything else really. I’m working on it so hopefully I’ll make some gains here soon. Seems like every time I do though I sprain something, or something happens and I end up back where I started.

I’m in the same boat with the lack of will power. But I’m doing better…I think! :)
