I thought I had posted about the storm that we got last weekend, but apparently not.

Saturday was probably the worst type of weather I’ve seen while I’ve been in the midwest. Freezing rain was the name of the game. It didn’t keep the wife and I from going to a new Mongolian Grill and watching Ghost Rider. We just threw the Jeep into 4 wheel drive and poked our way around town. When we walked out of the movie theatre there was probably a quarter of an inch of ice on the antenna on the Jeep.

At home we were worried about tree’s coming down because the wind started to blow. A few branches came down around our house, but nothing that did any damage. Thankfully. A couple of our neighbors had larger branches come down, but we lucked out. There are a ton of people without power in Illinois and Iowa and we’ve been told there’s another storm headed our way. It doesn’t sound like it’s going to be as bad as the one on Saturday, but with some people not having power it is just going to make it that much worse.

We have our second dance lesson tonight. I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully we’ll progress even further along in one of the dances. Tomorrow I think we’re going to try and learn the Tango!
