Shooter or 300?

Shooter PosterI’ve been debating between seeing Shooter and 300.  I’m inclined to go and see Shooter since I read the book a long time ago and I always thought it would make a good movie.  300 I really want to see, but I’m kind of soured on it.  Yesterday I was reading a Crossfit.com that the guy who trained the people for 300, basically stole everything from Crossfit and said it was his own (almost word for word said it was his own…read it here).  Call me silly, but that’s just not right and I’m not sure I want to support it.  I will see 300, but it probably won’t be for a bit longer.

Our weather has changed for the better here, which has put my wife in a horrible cold and the yard is greening up.  We got rid of Tru-Green, which means that I get to take care of the yard this year.  So I’m going to make a trip to Lowe’s to get grass seed, fertilizer, grub killer and whatever other stuff I can put onto the lawn to make it all nice and green.  First thing I need to do is clean up the back and the front so I’ll be doing a bit of raking.

Went dancing last night. We did the Rhumba, which I’m pretty good at, but then they threw a new step in that totally threw me off.  More practice I guess.  We now have 3 steps for the Rhumba!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I didn’t know that about the 300 trainer. We did see the movie about a week ago. We both liked it, for it’s entertainment value and how the movie was shot. The history channel had a special about the 300 war and what really took place, really interesting. If you see the movie, let us know what you think.

Mike - I didn’t know it either. It’s really kind of sad if you will. I went and saw shooter however. Might see 300 today. But probably not. Need to get some yard work done!

I don’t think you can blame 300 or its cast for what a low life trainer did. Trainers as a breed are arrogant and steeling something like that I’m sure isn’t out of their scope. Either way, 300 is likely the best movie ever made so don’t miss out on it because of the workout they did. After watching the history channel special that Mike talked about, there is some historical truth to it so it’s good on all fronts.

I don’t think I’ll have the time this upcoming weekend to see 300, but I’m going to try my hardest to see it at the theatre.

I missed the history channel stuff…watched Discovery Channel all day yesterday. Deadliest Catch…what a tough job!
