It’s been awhile since I’ve talked about movies we’ve seen. So here’s a couple that you should avoid at all costs.

Harsh Times - Christian Bale and Eva Longoria star in this one and for the life of me I can’t figure out why either one of them are in it. Basically this is about Christian Bale who gets back from Iraq where he was a special ops guy for the marines who did a lot of stuff that none of us never know about (ie: shooting and looting). He’s back in LA and trying to find work, but he misses the rush he got from killing people in Iraq that he has to do things in LA that…well I won’t ruin it. But 90% of the movie is him and his homey driving around in a crown victoria doing nothing. Bale is one of my favorite actors just for doing Batman, so I’m going to have to give him a pass on this one, but if he messes up again…he’s off the list!

The Marine - I knew this one was going to be stupid. And it was. It wasn’t half as bad as Harsh Times if that tells you anything. This is a WWE production starring John Cena. Again he’s an ex-marine that’s been honorably discharged and he’s trying to find some work. Him and his hot wife (Kelly Carlson) decide that they need to go on a little road trip. Along the way they accidentally meet up with Robert Patrick and his gang of misfit murders and diamond thiefs. They take Cena’s wife hostage and that’s where things go wrong for them. You can figure it out from there I’m sure. Here’s how silly it was. There was one fight scene where I was thinking “Cena’s going to hit this propane tank and it’s going to blow up the building”. That’s how silly some of the stuff was. Secondly…no marines are as jacked as Cena is. Especially Force Recon type of marines. If anything they are the exact opposite of Cena.
