Invoking murphys law!
I don’t know if any of your remember (Raul probably does because helped me out a bit on this), but we had an annoying noise happening with our Toyota. I posted about it here. Well with the warmer weather it got worse and worse and worse. So my wife called up Toyota and made an appointment for an oil change and to look at this noise. She basically told them to get it fixed or else (she’s better at that than I am).
So I get to the dealership yesterday and I sign stuff and jump in the car with a mechanic. I don’t work to far away from the shop so I was going to drive myself over there and hope that sound came up. It had when I drive to the Toyota shop but to start off with it wasn’t happening. I knew that as soon as I got someone knowledgeable in the car it wouldn’t do it. But it eventually did…a block away from work.
Long story short they found out the problem. It had to do with a charcoal filter that’s been on the fritz for awhile and when it would suck in air it wasn’t getting all of it or something like that. So to date it hasn’t made the sound, but I’m really not holding my breath because by posting about it I’ve probably invoked murphys law and it will be back this morning on my way to work (I really hope it isn’t…)
