Bachelorhood

Well it’s now day 2 of the bachelorhood…and I’m still alive!  Actually that shouldn’t come as a surprise.  I live as a bachelor for awhile.  And looking back on it…what a pathetic life it was.  Honestly I’ve been freaking bored out of my head!!

I’ve managed to watch 2 movies in 2 nights and will possibly watch another tomorrow night. The 2 movies being Whose Your Dadddy (don’t waste your time!) and Deja Vu.  Deja Vu was kind of interesting and probably worth a rental.

I talked to my wife today. She made it in just fine and has made me extremely jealous.  Today she was up at the camp where her brother and dad work. They were going to go swimming afterwards, but didn’t make it.  If there’s one thing that I miss being out in the midwest (besides all of the usual…relatives, family etc), it’s getting off of work and going for a dip in a nice cool lake or river.  Many a nights my wife and I, when we were dating, would take off on a summer evening and head up to a lake that was close by and go swimming.  Or on the weekends we’d jump in the 2 person raft that I had and float down the river.  Some good memories on the river and the lake. For those of you that have muddy rivers and lakes, you have no idea what they are like out west (perhaps other areas as well).  Here’s an example.  I went home one summer (flew on the corporate jet) and one of the guys at work went with me.  I’m pretty sure he’s lived his whole life in this area. We took him up to Lake McDonald in Glacier Park. We were standing out on the dock and he explaimed: “I can see the bottom of the lake”.  This wasn’t looking in 2 or 3 feet of water people. This was probably 20 to 30 feet deep.

Any how I’m making due and will make due.

Now I’m off to work on the future (or what I hope is the future)! :)

Ahhh bachelorhood. Once you’re married it’s like being married but having to do everything. It actually kinda sucks.

I can’t imagine what clear lakes are like. You can’t see anything in our lakes and it’s almost like swimming in motor oil. That must be nice. Hope bachelorhood treats you well this week my friend.

Yeah I have not swam in any lakes or rivers out here due to them being muddy.
