Summer time memories
These photos probably won’t mean much to anyone other than myself and the few (1?) family member that reads this blog.
I’m not sure what year it all started in, but my cousins and their family from the “eastern” part of the state started going to Lake Placid in the summer. It was usually the end of July or start of August when we’d go. With all of our family and the friends that ended up coming along I’m sure we took over half of the campground some years. The trip was all about water skiing and playing 31 at night time. And of course staying cool in the lake. I’m not sure when the last time was that I went, but my folks were down there last week and my dad got some pictures that brought back a lot of memories. Enjoy!

Early morning skiing was what it was all about…no wave’s or wave runners to worry about!

I’d like to say that I got this good at water skiing, but I didn’t. This is my cousin Josh who I think spent most of his summers water skiing and got pretty good.

And my other cousin Angie. Again better than I ever was. I had a hard time with one ski for some reason (not enough practice I suspect…). The one time I did get it…it was on Placid and it was SWEET!

Orange sunsets due to the fires.

More orange sunsets!

Nights were either spent around the fire, or playing 31. In this case it looks like zoning out around the campfire (and probably some alcohol somewhere!)!
These are just some of the photos that my dad snapped…and even though these are good…there are a lot more, and better in my opinion on his site
