They arrived!
Our dance shoes arrived yesterday. After I took off of work early to go and get them because god forbid that the post office be open more than 8:30 to 5 (another frustration of mine with the postal system!).
So we tried them out last night at our dance lesson. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t our best effort by a long shot.
Secondly I think I finally might have hit a home run in a stock pick. I’ve been following the stock market and investing in it since I was in my late teens. That doesn’t mean I’m rich, far from it, but it’s been a passion of mine. Up until this last year, I’ve really let my stock broker make the picks and quite frankly all but 1 of them has failed and the only reason that 1 hasn’t failed is because it pays a huge dividend.  Anyhow I think I’ve finally made a decent pick that will pan out. Hopefully I can get a 15% return out of it (currently up around 8% I believe), but time and patience are the key on this one. If you are thinking about getting into the market (or are in the market) I can’t not recommend Rule 1 enough (Phil Town is the author). It has a lot of solid advice that I had never known about before, which I’ve been putting to good use and has spurred me to look at other stuff.
I’ll try and post a bit more often, but lately I just haven’t had anything to post about.
