Day 3:  We had our last dance lesson on Wednesday.  As with so many other this in this adventure it was kind of bittersweet.  We did get a couple of new moves in the swing and the tango which was awesome.  Now we just have to find some place to practice when we get to Cheyenne.  We haven’t been practicing that much since we knew this move was coming up and it has shown. So hopefully we’ll be able to get something going once we settle in.

Day 4: Since we spent most of Monday and Tuesday packing we took Wednesday and Thursday easy by just doing a few things here and there. The biggest happening on Thursday was going to dinner with the CEO/President of the company that I used to work for.  It was a good time for the most part.  His wife and he told us that they were in the process of buying a plot of land in Colorado for when they retire.  Later on I asked when that would be and they said they weren’t sure.  They were hoping to move out to Colorado and still work for the company which I found rather interesting.

Day 5: The packers were due to arrive at 8:30 and they weren’t a minute late.  By 12 noon our house was empty.  We cleaned what we could and locked it up.  It was and still is hard saying goodbye.  I guess I’m probably a little too nostalgic sometimes, but oh well.  We then went to the hotel and hung out there for the rest of the night.  Totally boring!

Day 6: (that would be today) We left Davenport at 9:45 and arrived in Lincoln at about 3:45.  The cats eventually settled down, but it took them a long time to do so and in the process almost got my wife and I in a couple of different wrecks.  Eventually Frodo settle underneath the passenger side chair in the Jeep with me and stayed there for the whole trip.  Tonks was in the car with my wife and she said he eventually settled into the back seat or the rear window.  Tomorrow we do the rest of the trip.  The last 60% I guess you could say.  Once we get to Cheyenne, I’ll get out my “big” computer and hook up my photo stuff and post up some pictures.
