Drug busts and extended hotel stays

Yesterday I arrive at the hotel around 5:15 pm.  As I pull into the parking lot I notice that there are 3 people, 2 of them carrying firearms looking in a car that is parked right next to my wifes.  Oh and there’s a dog that looks like it’s part German Shepherd.  The dog sort of greets me and then I watch the 2 men for a moment.  Once inside of the hallway of no oxygen I notice a door that is open and there is stuff strewn all about the place.  It looks like a drug but but I’m not 100% sure. The cops were still there and searching another car when I got done with my workout.  I’ll be looking in the paper to see what exactly happened.

And our hotel stay has been extended to 3 weeks.  Yeah the movers are not getting here until November 5th.  So we sign the papers on the house today, but don’t move in until the 5th, which really sucks, but that’s the way it is.

Also no activity on the house in Iowa, which is making both of us a bit nervous. We are going to drop the price on it and see if we can get some activity that way.  Hopefully it will happen.

So are you looking for a new gym? Or do you think you can Crossfit successfully in the hotel gym for a while? Good luck with selling the house, I hope you can get rid of it soon.

We haven’t started looking for gyms yet. But the gym in the motel is the best so far. I’ve been dinking around in it 3 times a week getting in some cardio and such. When we move to the house we’ll have some weights that we can use and my kettlebell. Probably some sort of crossfit. Once we sell the house in Iowa, we’ll probably get a membership. Until then it’s home workouts of some sort…unless we can get a free weeks worth!

Good luck selling your house! It is a really stressful situation, and I imagine it’s even harder for you since you’ve already moved.

Thanks Chas. It is a bit stressful, but we are trying to make the best of the situation.

And we know a little about drug busts too. When we lived at the dumplex it seems like they were becoming routine. We were shocked the first time we saw our street on the news, but after that the sirens, ambulances, fire trucks, all of it seems like normal. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that for you so I hope the house gets finished and sold quickly.

We are out of here on Sunday…a day earlier than what was scheduled!
