Happy Thanksgiving..a day late!

I had intentions of coming to the library on Wednesday to type out a quick Happy Thanksgiving post, but due to a client at work (stayed 40 minutes passed when I should have gone home) and the library closing a bit early it was missed. So those in the US of A…Happy Thanksgiving a day late.

My wife’s parents made it down on Wednesday evening. Unfortunatley her dad had some flu/cold and the last 3rd of the trip was on glare ice. So they drove from 5am until 9pm. Thursday my father in law could hardly talk but he did his best to carry on a conversation with me about his hunting trip (got 3 deer and has almost 100,000 private acres to hunt on). My wife and her mom started out a bit rough, but finally go going. I won’t go into the details, but lets just say it was a bit tense for a few moments. I had to work on Friday unfortunately, but I think it gave my wife sometime to hang out with her parents. They did go to the state museum which they said was pretty cool. So I suppose we’ll end up there at some point. The in-laws left this morning (again 5am) and as of 8:30 they had almost left the state of Wyoming…so the trip was much better going. Enough of family stuff.

For those that are bloggers…I still read your blogs when you post up. Probably don’t post a comment due to lack of time at the moment. But that might be changing in the not so distant future. Long story short my wife conned the state education people to push her certification through a bit faster so we’ll need internet to get the sub job listings a bit more frequent. So perhaps before Christmas we’ll have our own internet.

Tonight is the Christmas parade and we plan on going down to watch it. I’m bringing my camera with flash. Not sure if I’ll get any decent pictures, but if I do I’ll post them up. Speaking of pictures I think I have a few to post up…..yes I do in fact have photos. Nothing special, but I’ll try and have some others to post up. Some wanted house pictures and other pictures of the area, so I’ll get those up later this week. Any other requests for photos?
Work is going well, although it ended on a sour note. I’ll just say this…if it’s important don’t leave your communcation to e-mails. Get on the phone and be a pest. Something I have to learn. I’ve gotten so used to people using e-mail that it’s sometimes a crutch. So phoning is the way it’s going to be for important stuff.

Moving In!

Moving into the house. It was a mess and we have one bedroom that is FULL of boxes that we didn’t know what to do with. That will have to change before Christmas as that’s where my brother and his dog are going to stay!

More moving in!

Looking from the kitchen into the living room. That fan that you see..I have not figured out how to get access to the light bulb in it. I want to replace it with a brighter bulb, but until I can get into it, it’s going to have to wait.

Wyoming Country Side

Some Wyoming countryside.  Not all that pretty, but it’s more relief that Iowa has!  I plan on getting out again to take more pictures, but I’m not sure when that will be.

Well I think that’s about it for right now.
