Chas - We're still searching for a church. We'll go this weekend and hopefully in the near future find a place to go.

Hmm...I've been to a church like that..sort of...though I don't know that I've ever experienced the band sing the same song over and over. I'll never forget the first time I was at a church and someone started speaking in tongues,...um...not what I was used to. Anyway, I hope you find a church that suits your style. We struggle with the same thing. We currently go to a United Methodist church that has a contemporary service. It's OK. I don't really know what is best for us, but for now it's a decent fit.

Funny....when my sil was church searing, she asked me to come and "check out" the one that she started going to....it was alot like the one you just wrote about. I told her it seemed a little "odd"....and she decided too that it wasn't the right one for her. She's very happy with the next one she went to and has even become a Sunday School teacher. Our church holds 1,000 people per service (x 3)....I just get lost in it...but the message is always awesome!
