My once a week update!

Since we got the internet again, I haven’t been posting as much which surprises me.  Not that I was posting that much before.  I think part of that is because I’m spending more of my time researching stocks.  I rolled over my 401k from my old employer and I am now responsible for figuring out where that money needs to go. Which I’m more than happy to do, but I want to make sure that I get a decent return off of it.  My goal for the year is 15%.  If I can make 15% this year, I’ll be VERY happy!  Now to get it all deployed!

The snow is melting here, which I find rather odd. I’ve been told that we’ll have snow until April and May which sucks, but that’s the northwest for you (and living at almost 6k feet).  Hopefully it won’t be as bad as it was back in Montana.

Work has been rather stressful as of late.  We’ve got a ton of stuff to do right now and then we have new customers coming out of the blue.  It’s all good, but right now it’s a lot to handle for 2 guys.  I suppose I could/should put in some more hours, but we’ll see on that.

Tonight we’re going out to dinner with some people from my work and then going bowling.  It will be interesting to see how margaritas and bowling mixes.  I’m sure it will be interesting.

Also my wife has a job interview on Monday with a credit union. We have not given up on her finding a teaching position, but for the moment they seem to be few and far between.  Hopefully something with the teaching will come up in March (all retires and other stuff has to be in my March sometime).  That would be awesome for her.

Well I think that’s about it.  Until next time.

I wish the best for your wife’s search for a teaching position. It really is hard sometimes.

Thanks Chas. the really odd thing is that everyone we talk to says “oh you shouldn’t have any problems finding a teaching job” I’m inclined to believe that they don’t really know what the teaching market is like.
