   Must be cool living next to an Air Force Base. You know what a nut I am about jets and all that crap. I’d probably be down there at least once a week trying to catch a glimpse of the awesomeness (at least until some MP’s came and threatened me and forced me to leave - can’t help but think the military’s not a big fan of people hanging around their bases and snapping photos).

   I think what your wife’s co-worker was referring to was the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, near Colorado Springs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheyenne_Mountain), which is the location from which OUR nukes are controlled (I think). That would definitely be a prime target. So sorry to rain on your parade, but your deaths probably wouldn’t be as instant as you would prefer

   On a side note, that Cheyenne Mountain facility must be awesome. Can you imagine carving out the inside of a mountain and putting a base in there? Sounds like an 8-year-old boy’s ultimate dream (and a 30-year-old man’s, now that I think about it).

   illflux - It is kind of cool living next to the base. Every morning and night we get serenaded by the bugler (probably a mp3 or something!). But there’s no jets here. They are putting in a helicopter area however that will be cool. Yeah I know…an air force base without jets…what the hell.

   My wife’s co worker’s husband is in the military and does something with the nukes. Not sure what since he can’t talk to anyone about it, but that’s what we’ve been told. There’s probably not that many missles here, but outside of the gates there are 3 different missle’s that I’ll get a photo of one of these days.

   I haven’t seen any silo’s when driving around, so I’m guessing there’s 1 or 2 there, but that’s it.

   So maybe not the first target…but we’ve got to be up there (not something I’m bragging about!)

   Chas - You know more than me. I really need to read up on some of the history in Cheyenne.
