Dead computer and cars
Those 4 words about sum up my weekend. More so on the dead computer than anything.
My wife had been complaining that her computer (the laptop) was slow. Most of the time when she complains of it being slow it’s the user being impatient. That was not the case this time. Luckily I was able to get in and recover what needed to be recovered. Now we have to get a new laptop (at some point!). Funny thing is just a couple of weeks ago we were talking about getting a new laptop. I wonder if the old one knew he was going to be replaced.
Last week while out on a business call I noticed that my engine light went on in the Jeep. Just what I needed. Any how I e-mailed Raul, who knows more about cars than I’ll ever know. He said I should run it down to AutoZone and have them do a test on it to see what the deal was. So I did that yesterday morning. It looks like the issue was that I didn’t put the gas cap on tight enough. I feel so stupid, but I’m also glad that I didn’t take it into the auto shop which would have said “Well you’ve got XYZ and PDQ wrong with your car. We need to charge you a $1000″ when all they really did was put the gas cap on!
