Last night my wife and I went out on a date.  This week was the week from hell for work and I needed to forget about everything related to work.  So being the big city that Cheyenne is we headed to the mall for a couple of gyro’s and then caught 21.  21 was everything I wanted it to be.  Despite having read both of the books (which are great reads if you are looking to learn more about the story) I thought the story was great.  The short synopsis of the movie is about a bunch of MIT kids who go to Vegas to count cards.  They’ve got a whole system and as long as you stick to the system it works.  If you don’t stick to the system you get in trouble. It’s worth at least a matinee price if not a full price.

Speaking of systems, I’m going to go into investment mode for a second.  Buy and hold long term is not a system.  It’s actually called a lazy broker.  Take my word on this.  I bought and held for 12 years and I’m still negative by 20% or more.  Granted I jumped in when the markets were WAY up in 2000, but still, I should be recovered from that by now since the markets have been up since then. But I’m not.  We are in the process of taking over all of our investments, so that we don’t end up in a buy and hold situation. If we do decide that we don’t want to do all of the investments I’ll be finding someone that can tell me what their system is.  I could go on with more examples, but I won’t bore you with that (maybe next week!).

Back to 21.  I wanted to put up a smoking hot picture of Kate Bosworth, because I thought she was pretty hot in 21, but when I went and looked all I found were these skeleton pictures of her.  Not attractive at all.  Girl needs to eat some food and lift some weights.
