Fitness Day 10

Slowly but surely I’m getting back into workout mode.  First time in about 2 months that I’ve actually been in the gym. 

Hang Power Clean 3×5 @ 95lbs (whimpy!)

Front Squat 3×5 @ 95lbs

Pulldowns 3×6 @ 120

DB Shoulder Press 3×6 @ 25

11 Minutes on Elliptical!

    Awesome - Keep it going! I’m getting back into is slowly, I’ve been walking around the house with the sandbag and working with the dumbells. Not much, but it’s a start.

    Good job!!!

    Piece of advice though…just if you want to hear it….you don’t start burning sugar/fats until 12 minutes on a cardio machine (ie. elliptical)…my trainer always said 20 minutes was the ideal time….only if you want to hear it…otherwise, tell me to be quiet!

    I ran my first ever 5k on Sunday in about 30 minutes. Nothing impressive but not a bad start I guess. Yesterday my new workout partner said “Let’s do Fran today, and cool down with a 5k.” Go to youtube.com and look up Fran. No…I did not cool down with another 5k nor was I capable of doing Fran.

    Mike - Thanks for the encouragement. Walking around with the sandbag is no easy feat…so congrats. Need to get me one of them…again!

    Lujza - Thanks. 11 minutes is kind of short, but they were intervals. So some effect but not much. My max is about 20 minutes and then I’m done!

    Raul - Awesome on the 5K. Best 5K I ran was 23:15 or something like that. Fran…yeah a definite pukie…although there’s some others that are just down right sadistic. Keep at it. I’ll throw in a Crossfit workout here and there…but it will be cut WAY down.
